Eugene Gannon loves exploring cities and learning their ins and outs. He has lived in New York for 40 years, and prior to becoming a licensed tour guide, he worked as an architectural designer.  When not busy with student tours,  Eugune works as a relocation expert for International Corporations.

His duties include providing a concierge service for executives who are transferred to New York from around the world, and showing them the essentials of their neighborhoods: shops, schools, parks, subways, etc. as well as teaching the fundamentals for survival in New York.

No two tours are the same. He especially enjoys the requests to find boxing gyms, independent  book stores, Indian shops or ballet classes, and making sure these visitors are comfortable in their new homes.

Eugene knows the best Indian restaurants, jazz clubs and oldest bars from experience, and has seen the Ramones at CBGBs and Charlie Mingus at the Village Gate. He has lived in a Brownstone for thirty-six years and witnessed and participated in the changing Brooklyn. He hopes to eventually walk every street in New York, and walks the 32 mile perimeter Great Saunter of Manhattan once a year.
